When Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen NYC life and dropped into a sleepy Indiana town after his parent's divorce, he finds that he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. From the Tony Award-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown, 13 is a musical about trying to fit in and learning it's so much better to STAND OUT! This show may be comprised entirely of teenagers, but the stories that come to life on the stage are ageless. We can't wait for this energetic musical about friendship, bullies, and overcoming labels!
AGES: 13-18
*Must be between the ages of 13-18 on August 1, 2024, to audition.
PROGRAM FEE: $250
*Performers will have the opportunity to hone their craft by working alongside various industry artists learning high-energy choreography, challenging harmonies & vocal techniques, and diving into character development from learning a character by script their creating their own from scratch. They'll work together with their peers and grow as a cast making memories that can last a lifetime! The program fee goes directly into all production aspects of the show and allows us to continue doing more shows for you to take part in!
**Scholarship Opportunity: We will be offering 2 scholarships to the program based on financial need. You will have an opportunity to apply for a scholarship when you register for auditions.

3rd Annual Rising Stars Gala
Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 6 PM
In Collaboration with the Arts at Camden County College
Performed at the Dennis Flyer Theater on campus.
We're excited to be back for a 3rd year! Join us for a night celebrating the arts. The night will feature performances from talented young performers and organizations from across the tri-state area including local theaters, dance studios, youth groups, schools, and SJ Youth Arts casts of previous shows.
The show is black-tie and features a cocktail hour before the show.
This show will spotlight our talented Gala cast in a few featured numbers made up of young artists ages 13-21. Auditions will be announced later in the season. Enjoy full production numbers with high-energy choreography, powerful solos, and everything in between! During the show, we will also be handing out various scholarships! We hope to see you on October 13 at Camden County College!
